The Russian Armed Forces destroyed part of the stockpiles of cruise missiles and depleted uranium shells, MLRS installations and anti-aircraft systems transferred to Ukraine by the West, the Russian Defense Ministry said in a statement.
According to the statement, in the period from September 17 to September 23, Russia carried out 12 group strikes with high-precision, long-range land- and air-based weapons and unmanned aerial vehicles on Ukraine's aircraft and armored vehicle repair facilities, oil refineries, storage facilities for ammunition and foreign weapons, intelligence and training centers.
"As a result of the airstrikes, the logistic support system of the Ukrainian Armed Forces operating in the Kherson and Zaporozhye directions was significantly damaged, the enemy's repair and restoration capabilities were reduced, part of the stocks of cruise missiles and depleted uranium shells, multiple launch rocket systems and anti-aircraft missile complexes transferred to Ukraine by the West were destroyed," read the statement.
The ministry elaborated that in the Donetsk direction, over the past week, as a result of air strikes, missile forces and artillery, enemy losses amounted to more than 1,455, 16 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 25 vehicles, 15 field artillery guns and three MLRS combat vehicles. In addition, three ammunition depots and two military echelons of the 37th Marine Brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces at loading stations were destroyed.
Within a week, the Russian Armed Forces repelled five enemy attacks in the South Donetsk direction. Ukraine's losses in this direction amounted to more than 950 servicemen, 14 armored combat vehicles, 32 vehicles and five field artillery pieces, as well as two ammunition depots.
The ministry also noted that Ukraine attempted to attack targets on the Crimean Peninsula with cruise missiles and unmanned aerial vehicles. As a result, the Russian air defense systems destroyed five cruise missiles, one Neptune anti-ship missile and 37 attack unmanned aerial vehicles.
In total, since the beginning of the special military operation in February 2022, the following have been destroyed: 477 aircraft, 249 helicopters, 7,067 unmanned aerial vehicles, 438 anti-aircraft missile systems, 12,071 tanks and other armored combat vehicles, 1,154 multiple launch rocket systems combat vehicles, 6,502 field artillery guns and mortars, and also 13,351 special military vehicles.
