UN General Assembly Day Three: World Leaders Address Global Issues

This year's session focuses on implementing the 2030 Agenda and the Sustainable Development Goals that seek to tackle the threats of climate change and harmonize cooperation on health issues.

The third day of the annual United Nations General Assembly is underway on Thursday at UN headquarters in New York, with world leaders deliberating on key international challenges.
The 78th session of the assembly is entitled "Rebuilding Trust and Reigniting Global Solidarity: Accelerating Action on the 2030 Agenda and its Sustainable Development Goals Towards Peace, Prosperity, Progress, and Sustainability for All."
The General Assembly gives the floor to a host of African leaders, including the presidents of the Central African Republic, Malawi, Zimbabwe, South Sudan, Guinea, Burundi, the Republic of the Congo and Kenya.
Alongside African leaders, the leaders of Kiribati, East Timor, Serbia, Dominica, Sri Lanka, Yemen and others will also deliver their speeches.
