Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that it is clear that dramatic tectonic changes are taking place in the world at the moment, changes are coming, this requires a certain adaptation of the UN, primarily the main body — the Security Council.
The spokesman added that there are too many conflicts taking place globally, and the international law has been undermined, while the Bretton Woods system is being destroyed de facto.
At the same time, Peskov said that a creation of the new system of international relations to replace the UN is unlikely at the moment.
“Therefore, we should all be interested in developing and improving UN mechanisms,” the spokesman stressed.
