On Wednesday, Kim Jong Un met with Putin at the Vostochny Spaceport in the Amur Region.
The leaders inspected the launch facilities of the Soyuz-2 and Angara space rocket complexes. The construction of the Angara launch facility began in 2019. After the inspection, Putin and Kim Jong Un held one-on-one talks.
According to the Russian president, the idea to invite North Korean leader to the Vostochny Spaceport was born out of the interest of Pyongyang's partners in the rocket and space industry.
