Possible supplies of long-range missiles from Washington to Kiev will escalate the crisis and lead to even greater number of casualties, Maria Zakharova, the spokeswoman of the Russian Foreign Ministry, has said.
"If these deliveries continue, this will have an impact on the escalation of the crisis, all this will lead to even greater casualties," Zakharova told the Russian newspaper in an interview.
Earlier, the Kremlin said that Washington intends to continue supporting Kiev in a state of war to the last Ukrainian, no matter what it takes.
The United States and other Western countries have been arming Ukraine since the Russian military operation began in February 2022.
The support has developed from artillery ammunition and training in 2022 to heavier weapons later that year and in 2023.

The Kremlin has consistently warned Kiev against further arms deliveries, noting that any Western arms transfers to Ukraine could turn into legitimate targets for the Russian military.
In particular, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Moscow has so far not needed to use cluster munitions, but if this type of weaponry is used against its forces, Russia has the right to take mirror actions.
