North Korean Leader to Visit Russia in Coming Days, Kremlin Announces

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) leader Kim Jong-un met with Russian President Vladimir Putin in April 2019 in the Russian city of Vladivostok for the first time.

North Korean leader Kim Jong Un will visit Russia in coming days at the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the Kremlin said on Monday.

"At the invitation of Russian President Vladimir Putin, Chairman of State Affairs of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea Kim Jong Un will pay an official visit to the Russian Federation in the coming days," the Kremlin said in a statement.

Talks between the delegations are planned, and if necessary, Putin and Kim Jong-un will hold a one-on-one meeting, the Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Sputnik.
Kim Jong Un and Putin previously held a meeting in Russia's Vladivostok in 2019. This was the first meeting of the heads of state, and the leaders held talks both tete-a-tete and with the participation of delegations.
