Ukraine Loses Over 600 Troops in Past 24 Hours, Russian Defense Ministry Says

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - The Russian armed forces have eliminated more than 600 Ukrainian troops in the past 24 hours, according to the Russian Defense Ministry.

The Russian Defense Ministry said on Saturday that over 250 Ukrainian service people, a tank, an infantry fighting vehicle, four armored fighting vehicles, two cars, a Strela-10 surface-to-air missile system, two Polish-made Krab self-propelled howitzers, two D-20 and one D-30 howitzers, as well as a US-made M119 howitzer were destroyed.
Another 220 soldiers were eliminated in the Zaporozhye and South Donetsk directions, with two armored vehicles, M777 and M119 US-made howitzers destroyed as well, the ministry said. Ukrainian losses in the Kupyansk and Krasnyi Lyman directions amounted to about 100 troops and three armored vehicles, as well as an M777 howitzer, the ministry added.

In the Kherson direction over 30 Ukrainian soldiers, a field ammunition depot and a drone control center have been destroyed, while two tactical command posts of the Ukrainian armed forces near the village of Dyliivka, as well as a communication hub near the town in Donetsk region Avdiivka have been hit, the ministry said in its daily update.
