Russia's Lancet "superdrones" are undoubtedly one of the most powerful weapons in the arsenal of the Russian Army, recognized Polish portal Interia.
According to it, military analysts are convinced that they "are among the best devices of this type in the world and can inflict serious losses on the Ukrainian Armed Forces."
"They are a real scourge for Ukrainian soldiers," reported the media.
Among the "extraordinary capabilities" of the drones, Interia cited easy starting, mobility and an efficient electric motor. The three kilograms of explosives they can carry are enough to destroy a tank or an armored vehicle.
"However, the real phenomenon of the Lancet is its ability to almost stop in flight or change direction extremely quickly, even right in front of the selected target. This is due to the X-shaped wing arrangement. This shape ensures aerodynamics and good handling."
The Polish media noted that the Lancets "arouse fear among Ukrainian crews".
"There is no shortage of videos on the web showing how successful they are in neutralizing, for example, Polish Krab howitzers."
Manufacturer Promises More Performance
Alexander Zakharov, the boss of Zala Aero Group which manufactures the drones, had announced in mid-July that the next generation of Lancets would be even more efficient, escaping the vigilance of certain radio-electronic warfare systems and thus becoming almost "invulnerable".
Vladimir Putin has also praised the potential of the Lancets, explaining that they deliver "powerful strikes" against all types of equipment, including Western-made arms. The Russian president has called on the military-industrial complex to speed up the production of the drones.
