SA Police Minister Shares His Impression of Security at 15th BRICS Summit

Bheki Cele, South Africa's Minister of Police shared his view on the 15th BRICS Summit's security state. For the first time in history, the event was held in a brodened format, involving delegations from 55 countries and 18 heads of state.

The South Africa's security representatives are contended with how the 15th BRICS Summit has been held, their experience in preparing events of that kind help them, Bheki Cele, South Africa’s Minister of Police told Sputnik Africa.
"We in South Africa, we were quite lucky that we have gained our experience with the big events, starting with 2010 World Cup and many others. Even the BRICS, it is not for the first time that it is here. So we knew what to do and we have worked accordingly. […] We are quite satisfied up to this point."

According to the minister, the security personnel has brought together various elements of law regulation, and every side has turned out to collaborate.
"We have pulled together quite different components of law enforcement and everybody seems to be cooperative and we seem to be ok," Cele said.
The summit's participants are happy with the event as well, no negative feedback has yet been received, the minister stressed.
"The feedback […] comes from the participants and the people that are here. Up to this point, we haven't received any negative kind of input. Everybody seems to be very much happy," he noted,
