Russian Navy Day is celebrated every last Sunday of July. On this day, Russia's "northern capital", Saint Petersburg, hosts a maritime parade in the Gulf of Finland and the river Neva.
Vladimir Putin and four African leaders participate in the celebration of the Russian Navy Day in StPetersburg. The event is also attended by representatives of five more African countries, who stayed in the city after the Russia–Africa Summit.
