US Not in Position to Attribute Attack on Crimean Bridge to Any Particular Party, Kirby Says

WASHINGTON (Sputnik) - The United States considers itself not to be in a position of attributing the attack on the Crimean Bridge to any particular party, White House National Security Council spokesperson John Kirby said on Monday.

"We are not in a position to attribute the attack to any particular party," Kirby said during a press briefing.
Kirby also reiterated that the United States considers Crimea to be Ukrainian territory.
According to the National Anti-Terrorism Committee, Kiev carried out a terrorist attack on the Crimean Bridge at 3 am (local time) on Monday using two underwater drones. As a result, a married couple, residents of the Belgorod region, died. Their daughter was seriously injured.

Commenting on the incident, Russian President Vladimir Putin called the blast on the Crimean Bridge a terrorist attack aimed at destroying civilian infrastructure. He noted that it is crucial to comprehensively assess the damage caused by the attack and restore everything as quickly as possible.
Earlier, a Ukrainian media outlet, citing a source in the Security Service of Ukraine, reported that the terrorist attack on the Crimean bridge was a special operation carried out by the Security Service of Ukraine and the Ukrainian Navy using surface drones.
