Negotiations of the Ghanaian delegation with representatives of UAZ on the possible localization of the concern's car production in the country will be held at the July summit, Chairman of the Ghana-Russia Business Development Council (an organization which provides consulting services on Ghana-Russian business relations) Lawrence Awuku-Boateng told Sputnik.
He answered in the affirmative to the clarifying question whether it was a question of discussing the localization of car production in Ghana, adding that the cars could be sold all over Africa.
He added that a representative of a Ghanaian company will take part in the negotiations to sign a possible agreement with UAZ.
In addition, Awuku-Boateng noted that within the framework of the Russia–Africa summit, it is planned to sign a memorandum on the establishment of the Crimean-African Business Council with the participation of entrepreneurs from West African countries.
He added that a memorandum of understanding between the Ghana-Russia Business Development Council and the Russian Export Center will also be signed during the summit.
The second Russia–Africa Summit and Economic Forum will be held on July 27-28 in St. Petersburg. Sputnik acts as an information partner of the event.
