Active preparations are underway for the Russia–Africa forum, which will be held in St. Petersburg, many eventful events are planned on its fields, said Dmitry Peskov, press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation.
"Now active preparations are underway for this forum. We expect very, very representative events. Very rich, I would say. There are also many events on the sidelines of this summit," Peskov said.
The presidential press secretary also said that Vladimir Putin would attend the summit.
"Yes, of course. Of course," he answered the corresponding question of the journalist.
The Russia–Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum will be held in St. Petersburg on July 27-28 and is a key diplomatic event in Russia-Africa relations. The summit is a follow-up to the first event of the kind, held in 2019 in the Russian resort city of Sochi.
