Western Weapons Supplied to Kiev Used by Protesters in France: Russian Foreign Ministry

Western countries have supplied unprecedented amounts of weapons and military equipment to Ukraine since the beginning of Russia's special military operation. Officials from different countries organizations have warned that the illegal spread of weaponry from Ukraine to other regions can lead to grave cosequences.

Weapons supplied by Western countries to Ukraine are used by protesters in France, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said on Thursday.
"Weapons delivered to Kiev [by the West, NATO and France] end up in the hands of protesters and are used against police in France," Zakharova told reporters.

France has been gripped by unrest since June 27, when a 17-year-old boy was shot dead by a police officer for failing to stop his car when ordered to do so in Nanterre, a suburb of Paris. The officer who pulled the trigger on Nahel M. has been taken into custody for voluntary manslaughter, but that has not deterred the protesters.
