UAV Prototypes Presented at SPIEF 2023 by Russian Businessman

The second-largest city in Russia, also known as the northern capital, is hosting the 26th St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2023), which began on Wednesday and will go on through June 17.

Advisor to the President of Mercator Holding, Alexander Zaverzaev, told Sputnik about the UAV models presented at the SPIEF 2023.

"At today's stand [of the Kaluga Region], we present our developments both in the field of unmanned vehicles and in the field of components, such as the control system for these drones, and, actually, engines. We have three modifications – the heavy one is 5-7 kg, the medium one, which is 1.5, and the small one, which is on another stand – up to 700 g," he explained.

The company official stated that the Kaluga region is setting up production with regional support, that of the governor and a number of agencies, and, with the help of federal authorities as well.

"I hope that we will enter industrial designs, well, we will not slip up in this matter, we will be among the best," stated Zaverzaev.

At the ExpoForum Convention and Exhibition Center in Russia's second-largest city, hundreds of executives are congregating for the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum.
High-ranking representatives from a number of nations, including the United Arab Emirates (UAE), India, Qatar, Pakistan, Venezuela, Hungary, Myanmar, and Nicaragua, will take part in this important occasion.
Russian President Vladimir Putin will participate in the forum's plenary session on Friday.
