In Kenya, Sergey Lavrov was presented with a clock depicting Africa's Big Five, the five main animals of the savannah: elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard. Speaker of the National Assembly of Kenya Moses Wetangula presented the gift to the Russian top diplomat.
In response, Russia's FM presented a plate with the building of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. "Big One," Lavrov joked.
This is the top diplomat's third African journey this year. Last July, Lavrov visited Egypt, Ethiopia, Uganda and the Republic of the Congo. Six months later, in January, the minister went to South Africa, Eswatini, Angola and Eritrea, and in February he visited Mali, Mauritania and Sudan.
