Russia's Special Operation in Ukraine

In Ukraine, US Fights Against Russia, Russian Official Says

Since the beginning of the special military operation, the Western countries have been sending even more weapons to Ukraine, as well as financing Kiev. The Kremlin has repeatedly stated that therefore, the West has become a party to the conflict.

In Ukraine, the United States is fighting against Russia, using the potential of NATO, the European Union and armed neo-Nazi formations that they themselves created, said the Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Nikolay Patrushev, following an international security meeting under the auspices of the Russian Security Council, held in the Moscow region.
"Everyone in the West says that Russia and Ukraine are at war. Nothing like that. The United States is fighting against Russia, and at the same time the United States is using the potential of NATO, using the potential of the European Union, using the capabilities of the armed formations of Ukraine, especially neo-Nazis, which, I emphasize, they themselves created," Patrushev told reporters.
In addition, he stated that the US thinks that it can "cope with Russia" in order to then take on China as another center of the multipolar world, Patrushev said.
"Of course, they [the US] are interested in weakening Russia, not only Russia is the center of a multipolar world. China too. [...] If they think they can cope with Russia, their next task, which is difficult for them to solve in parallel, is China," Patrushev stated.

He also added that it is difficult to disagree with China's position on Taiwan, amid the US actions in the region.

"We also know what they [the US] are doing now on the border of China with Taiwan. In general, it is difficult to disagree with their position [China on Taiwan]," Patrushev concluded.

The United States, together with Taiwan, has repeatedly conducted military exercises aimed at simulating China's attack on the island. Earlier this year, the head of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, Michael McFaul, said that the US will consider sending its military to Taiwan if China launches an operation against it.
Since China does not recognize Taiwan as a separate state, the presence of the American military on the island, as well as their joint exercises, causes a negative reaction from China.
