On May 7, an agreement was reached that the delegations of the government of the Syrian Arab Republic shall take part in the sessions of the Council of the Arab League, as well as all its institutions starting from May 7, 2023, the foreign ministers of the Arab League members said in a statement.
This made possible the participation of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in the work of the regional organization, in particular, he received an invitation to the Arab League summit, which will be held May 19 in Riyadh.
