"Unipolarity hasn’t worked…despite some commentators particularly in the West are saying that the past hundred years brought rapid development," says Kubayi, noting that "unipolarity has been opposite to what the world needs."
The South African pundit argues that what the world really needs is multipolarity, providing a slate of reasons for that.
Among other things, Kubayi points out that "multipolarity gives you an opportunity to go to anyone in the world and say "okay, you are good at this, and we need your expertise at this" without somebody else literally put[ting] a gun to your head and say[ing] that "no, you can't go to that guy."
While mulling over the benefits of multipolarity and how the Western notion of unipolarity proved to not have worked for everybody, the researcher has also touched upon such hot button topics like Russia's foreign policy, relations between the African continent and China and more.
