Armed Clashes in Sudan
On 15 April 2023, armed clashes between the Rapid Support Forces and the regular army in the Sudanese capital Khartoum were reported. Later, the fighting between the military forces spread to other Sudanese regions.

Situation in Sudan: Explosions, Food Crisis, and Civilian Flight

Violent clashes between the Sudanese regular army and the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) broke out on Saturday, with the epicenter located in Khartoum, and were initially focused on airports and government buildings.

Over the past week, forces loyal to Sudan's Army chief Abdel Fattah al-Burhan and rival fighters of Mohamed Hamdan Dagalo's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces have been battling for control of the nation.
Government forces accused the RSF of mutiny and launched airstrikes against their bases. Since then, hostilities have been raging on.
According to Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, the head of the World Health Organization, the death toll as a result of the armed clashes has risen to 413, while more than 3,500 others have been injured as of Friday.
