African Countries Should Create Basis for Reparations From Former Colonialists: Angolan FM
African countries must adopt a common approach to the long-term consequences of colonialism in order to more effectively demand compensation for the injustices suffered by their people, Tete António said at the International Conference on Colonial Crimes in Africa, held in Algiers.
The minister also called on African countries to demonstrate solidarity in assessing colonial rule:
🟠to develop common educational programs for this purpose,
🟠to emphasize the cultural diversity of African countries,
🟠to work more closely with diasporas on issues of attitudes towards colonialism.
